|
|
Here are some instructions!!!
You all seen pitting in F1 and how it effects on race standings!!!
Latest bald move did Alonso this weekend, when he overtook Schumi because he stayed couple laps more and manage to gain him thru pits.
So if you start 35 lapper with approx 70% of fuel at the start your car will be heavy. Heavy car causes less grip at the corners, thus harder braking, thus warmer tyres, thus excessive wear of tyres. But at the pitstop you can eliminate fuelling, cos you already have enough, and thus you only need to change tyres and repair damage (if you have any). So that is excellent tactics for pro driver who is checking his tyre wear and temp, and doesn’t make unnecessary damage.
Keep in mind that time for changing tyres is 3-4sec, for fueling even more 4-6sec.
But personally I don’t change tyres, and don’t take a lot of fuel, thus my pitting consists from fuelling (usually 40 or 50%) and repairing damage (if any).
But keep in mind that tyres are most important factor in race, you must avoid understeer, thus avoid front tyres to heat up.
Use this post if you need more explanations, will gladly help you!!! |

excellent !
good info for people that have not done pits yet
Ive also put PitStopUK2 server up tonight and it has 15 laps with 1 pit required for people to practise
basically how to pit is ... you enter pits and stop between yellow boxed off areas in pit lane.
hope this info helps newer people that have never done it before:) |
