I felt this should be updated for 2 reasons
1/ Personally I have a much beter idea of what iI am doing from the earlier days when I originally made the post.
2/ There is a slightly different way of doing things now with some commands in patch Q LFS

there is 2 different instances when commands will works ,,,, for example, you cant change the amount of laps once the game has started, you will have to end game by doing /end command and do it there. I will call this "The Menu Senario"
Alternatively, most admin commands can be used while game is actually in race mode. I will call this "The in-game Senario"
Commands are written in chat box so for example I would Press T then write a command e.g.( /restart )
List Of Available Commands
"The Menu Senario"
Once you have ended game (T then /end) .....
/laps=X (where X = the number of laps you wish to server to run in each race)
/qual=X (where X = the number of mins you whish to do in qualifiers)
/track=X (where X = the track you want to change to, you can choose either bl1, bl1r, bl2, bl2r, bl3)
/weather=X (where X = either 1, 2 or 3 ...1=bright and sunny, 2=coudy, 3 = evening i think )
"The in-game Senario"
/end (ends game to menu mode where you can make menu server changes like laps etc)
/restart (restarts a race.....be very careful when you use this and be sure that no one else is in middle of hot laps etc... it can pee people off)
/kick X (where X = a players name e.g. /kick peanut)
/spectate X (where X = a players name e.g. /spectate peanut)
/ban X Y (where X = a players name and Y = the amount of days you want to ban the person e.g. /ban peanut 12
/msg X (where X = the message you want to send through the server as a system message)
/reinit (ONLY use this command in extreme measures.....it restarts the whole server kicking everyone, any abuse of this will be logged along with your ip adress and WILL result in huge kick in the balls)
/pass=X (where X = the password you want to put on the server... do command again but leave X blank to take the pass off again.
^0!can (notice that this is the only command without the "/" prefix ... it is a special command and very handy. What it does is cancels a restart vote .....so for example if yuo are hotlapping and half way through your lap and everyone decides to restart race you can override the vote and cancel it ........ I bind this command to one of my F keys )
Server Hosts Only
/maxguests=X
/carsmax=X
(Where both these X's = a number between 1 and 11...... pls note it is recommended you set both of these the same or you could run into problems ..... for instance if you set carsmax to 11 and maxguests to 2 only 2 could even join the server ........ or if you set carsmax to 2 and maxguests to 11, 11 could connect and spectate but only 2 would be allowed to race )

Advanced section
Over the months we have made ways of doing things a bit quicker... time is important in some situations.
Kicking someone
A quick way we have learned to kick people is to bring up their name quickly then write the command in front of it. How you do that is like this....
Press N until connections list comes up ....
right click on name you wan't to Kick
press ctrl+ left arrow to put cursor to start of name
type /kick and hit space
result = offender is kicked from server
Spectating someone
Very same method as kicking but sometimes when someone really annoys me I like to annoy them back by continually spectating them very fast as soon as they join again ... over and over and over until the get the hint and leave.......
Same method as kicking but just keep bringing the command you use back up in your chat by doing this ... press T and hit up arrow until you get your last command message.
Banning Someone
Please note there is sometime problems with banning coloured names ...sometimes you have to take the colours out of the name which can be a pain.
Press N until connections list comes up ....
right click on name you wan't to ban
press ctrl+ left arrow to put cursor to start of name
type /ban and hit space
press ctrl + right arrow to put cursor at end of name
hit space and type number of days to ban eg. 30
hit return and offender should now be banned
Invasion by a crasher group e.g. [idi]
always sign yourself in as admin or a group like that if they have enough numbers can ban you ... they cant ban you if you are signed in[/b]
2 solutions ...
If faced with this sort of problem ... password the server 1st (normal pass) and go through the routine or kicking them... leave this pass on and contact me
or
if its really bad .../reinit .... quickly come back into server and /pass=X ,,, if one or 2 get back in before you pass server then its alot easier to kick

Theres a few other commands but you dont really need to bother with them

This is because you have to take the colours OUT of his name and leave the weird characters in and ban him/her as normal greyed out text ....... This is difficult to do but only way I know how to do a name with difficult characters is you check the name in my chats log and take the colours out of his name and compy and paste that into LFS. If you want me to explain more about this I will.

doesnt always work m8 ... as you know 
Some times you need to take the colours out of the name
But that is a VERY good addition to this guide
Inact this might be a better way to do things
I'll update the post with it laters |

The kick/spectate/banning section in Advanced Section has now been updated with the way barn does it .. thx barn
Certainly an easier way than i used to do it. even tho some colours still might not work 
But its definately easier for people |

There are problems with baning colored nicks. The solution is:
1. if nick is wrecker
2. do not type /ban wrecker 10
3. instead type /ban wrecker 10
So, the color of last character in nick must be the same as the color of days.
